Unpacking the parts

The Emitter fits on to the Receiver. To
separate them, simply slip a finger
between the two elements.
The Emitter is then easily extracted. To
fit it back in again, insert it in its housing,
pushing it well in until it clicks.
The Emitters
Two models are availa-ble according to
the type of voltage encountered :
- the LOCAT E 220 :
from 180 V to 440 V AC
from 180 V to 300 V DC
- the LOCAT E 110 :
from 9 V to 140 V DC and AC
The choice of Emitter (LOCAT E 220 or LOCAT E 110) is therefore
dependant on the voltage of the network.
WARNING :
To avoid any risk of error, it is advisable to measure the voltage
of the network first of all with a voltmeter.
NB : - The LOCAT E220 only works on a live circuit (without breaks).
- The LOCAT E 110 works on a non-live but operational network
as long as it is powered by an external source (9 V battery, for
example).
- Respect the polarity in DC voltage.
After connecting, the Emitter only consumes pulsed current (specific
frequency 3500 Hz) which distinguishes it from all other surrounding
currents.
NB : This consumption signal is therefore propagated between the
voltage source and the Emitter, zone in which it can be picked up
by the Receiver.
Checking light
Red rectangular diode.
Flashes (3 times/second) to indicate that the Emitter is live.
