2. Before using the device, remove all packaging materials and any labels that may be
on the device and are used for protection during transportation or for advertising.
Charging Up the Battery
CAUTION!
■ Do not leave the battery for more than 7 hours as otherwise its lifetime will be
shortened.
Before initial use, and when the device is no longer as powerful as it was, the battery
needs recharging.
1. Connect the mains adapter to a socket that is properly installed, is easily accessible
and corresponds to the technical data (see the "Technical Data" chapter).
2. Connect the mains adapter to the mains plug socket on the battery-powered sweeper.
3. Allow the battery to charge up completely. The length of time required for charging
depends on the charging status of the battery in each case; if the battery is discharged,
it is approximately 4-5 hours.
4. Then remove the mains adapter from the plug socket and from the device.

Assembling the Device

1. Plug the top part of the shaft with the handle onto the middle part of the shaft and
then plug this onto the bottom part of the shaft. Please note here that the arrows
marked on the middle and bottom handle piece must point towards one another. The
individual handle parts must be heard to engage in one another.
2. Plug the assembled shaft into the shaft holder on the cleaning foot. The shaft must
audibly engage.

Use

CAUTION!
■ Keep children and animals away from the device during use.
■ Before use, ensure that the device is properly assembled.
■ Make sure during use that dirt particles do not accumulate beneath the cleaning foot
as they could damage sensitive surfaces.
You have two options:
– For damp fl oor cleaning, moisten the cleaning cloth and attach it using the
Velcro fasteners to the bottom of the cleaning foot.
– If you want to sweep the fl oor dry, there is no need for a cleaning cloth.
1. Press the On / Off switch to switch on the device. The brushes of the cleaning foot
start to rotate immediately.
2. Slide the cleaning foot backwards and forwards across the fl oor. The dirt is picked
up by the rotating brushes and collected in the dirt container on the bottom of the
cleaning foot.
3. Switch off the device after use by pressing the On / Off switch again.
