RE-ARMING YOUR AUTOMATIC PFD (MD2953)

NOTE: A RE-ARM KIT (MA7114) WITH A VALID BOBBIN INSTALL-BY-DATE
(CHECK RE-ARM KIT PACKAGING) IS REQUIRED FOR THIS PROCEDURE.
IMPORTANT: FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS IN THE EXACT SEQUENCE BELOW.
1. Unpack or open the Inflatable PFD so that the inflator is exposed
(Fig. 15).
2. Remove the cylinder/bayonet assembly by rotating counter-
clockwise and then pull out. Discard the used cylinder/bayonet
assembly.
NOTE: YOU WILL DAMAGE THE SENSOR RING IF THE BOBBIN AND CAP ARE NOT
INSTALLED PRIOR TO THE NEW CYLINDER/BAYONET ASSEMBLY.
3. Remove cap by turning counter-clockwise. (Fig. 15).
4. Remove bobbin from cap or housing unit. Discard bobbin.
