7.1.7 Installing the siren
The siren supplied provides an acoustic signal in the case of unauthorised entry. It is controlled by the
alarm control centre. The time of signalling can be programmed in the alarm control centre.
The siren is very loud. Do not operate it in direct proximity to your ears.
Installation location
The siren is intended for wall mounting in buildings. Select a location for the siren where it can also be
heard from outside (e.g. close to windows or doors).
Installation
• Use the holes in the mounting plate as a drilling template and mark the position of the mounting holes.
• Remove the siren again and drill the mounting holes.
• Attach the siren with suitable installation material.
Make sure that there are no electrical cables, water pipes etc. near the place you want to drill.
7.1.8 Additional components (not included in delivery)
To improve the security of the property you are monitoring you can extend the set at any time. It is possible
to use several of the previously listed sensors or signalling devices in expanding the set. These can be
freely combined depending on your requirements. Furthermore there are various additional sensors and
signalling devices that can be attached to the alarm control centre.
Additional sensors include:
Broken glass sensors:
Broken glass sensors serve to secure windows. A broken
glass sensor raises the alarm when an intruder breaks a win-
dow pane.
The broken glass sensor should be connected to a 24 hour loop corresponding to its operating
instructions, as they only activate when the windowpane is actually broken.
