10.21 Setting alarm control centre to receive calls
The alarm control centre has the option of being controlled remotely via a dual tone multifrequency tele-
phone. That means you can arm/disarm the alarm control centre, delete alarms etc. To use this function you
must call the alarm control centre and it must answer the call. This menu item allows you to set the number
of rings until the alarm control centre answers the call or you can also deactivate the function.

Ring tones =
If 0 is entered then this function will not be available.
The ring tone number can be between 1 and 99.
The recommended ring tone number is between 15 and 20. If someone tries to reach you, it could
be that he/she ends up connected to the alarm system after a few rings and you are no longer
able to answer the call.
If the number of ring tones is too large then you need a long time until you can reach and control
the alarm control centre.
Furthermore it may be that some telephone networks do not accept a very large number of ring
tones. They then produce an engaged signal.
If this is the case and the telephone network produces an engaged signal before the alarm
control centre answers, call the telephone number back immediately. The alarm control centre
counts all ring tones that occur within 45 seconds. If you wish to use this function, an answering
machine, fax or modem must not take the call before the alarm control centre.
The factory setting is 16 ring tones.
