9. Commissioning
a) Inserting Batteries in the IR Remote Control, Battery Replacement
The IR-remote control needs a battery type „CR2025".
At initial commissioning, the battery is already in the battery compartment of the IR remote cont-
rol. A plastic strip protects the battery from discharge.
Pull out the plastic strip to make the IR remote control operational.
A battery change is required if the range of the IR remote control drops or the screen/DVR no longer reacts
to the IR remote control at all.
To perform the battery change, the locking clip at the battery compartment must be unlatched, e.g. with a
flat screwdriver, upon which the battery holder and battery can be pulled out.
Replace the empty battery with a new one of type „CR2025". Always observe the correct polarity (plus/+
and minus/-) when inserting the battery. The plus pole of the battery is marked with the icon „+" and must
point towards the bottom of the IR remote control.
Push the battery holder back into the IR remote control. Observe correct orientation. Do not apply any
force!
Dispose of the flat battery in an environmentally compatible manner; see chapter „Disposal".
b) Screen/DVR
• First screw on the (black) aerial at the top of the screen/DVR. The aerial can be raised vertically or tilted
and aligned in the 45° and 90° angle to improve reception.
• The enclosed mounting base can be screwed on to a slot at the back of the screen/DVR. Holes in the
mounting base or a double-sided adhesive tape can be used to fasten the mounting base on demand.
Use suitable screws and possibly dowels for the underground. When drilling or screwing on, observe
that no cables or lines are damaged.
If the mounting base is only to be used as a standing base, set up the screen on a stable, level and suf-
ficiently large area only. Protect expensive furniture surfaces from impressions or discolouration with
suitable pads.
• If there is a protective strip on the display, remove it now.
• Connect the low-voltage round plug of one of the two enclosed plug-in mains adapters to the correspon-
ding socket (10) of the screen/DVR.
The two enclosed plug-in mains adapters are of the same build; therefore, it does not matter
which one you use.
Plug the plug-in mains adapter into a proper mains socket of the public mains. The LED (8) should now be
lit blue.
• Insert a SD/SDHC memory card (max. 32GByte) into the memory card slot (11) at the right edge of the
screen/DVR so that it latches. With the memory card inserted, a small „SD" icon appears at the upper
left of the display.
