• The system components provided must not get damp or wet. Do not place objects such as
vases, or plants on or near the components. Liquids could seep into the casing and in doing so
impair the electrical safety of the device. There is also a very high risk of fire. There is the risk
of a fatal electric shock!
In such a case, remove the device from the mains power supply immediately (power down the
main socket on all pins, remove the mains supply plug) and do not operate the device further,
take it to a qualified technician/workshop.
• Do not leave packaging material unattended. It can be dangerous to children who play with it.
• Maintenance, adjustment, or repair work must only be carried out by a specialist/specialist
workshop.
• Thunderstorms pose a threat to any electrical appliance. Voltage overloads in the mains sup-
ply can damage the device.
While a television or similar electrical devices can be easily unplugged (simply pull the mains
supply plug out of the socket) this is hardly possible with the alarm system.
Operation in electrical storm poses a certain risk of damage to the alarm system and all at-
tached devices.
However, there are commercially available accessories which reduce the risk to the alarm
system and other attached devices, e.g. voltage overload/surge filters and other similar elec-
trical storm protection devices. Such devices do not provide absolute protection against vol-
tage overload/surges or lightning strikes.
• The regulations of the Accident Prevention & Insurance Association for electric facilities and
equipment must be observed in commercial premises.
• At schools, educational centres, hobby and self-help workshops the operation of the product
is to be supervised by trained employees.
