If the counterflow unit is installed in a pump pit, this must be provided with sufficient ventilation (motor
cooling) and an adequate drain outlet for leakage water (DN 40 minimum).

Prior to performing any repair work on the unit, always disconnect it from the electrical power source
and secure against unauthorised reconnection.
7.
Repair work, irrespective of its nature, may only be performed by qualified technicians and the coun-
terflow unit drained previously.
8.
The operator must ensure that
- the operating manual is always available to operating personnel,
- the instructions contained in the manual are always observed
- the counterflow unit is always taken out of operation immediately in the event of a
normal electrical voltage levels, temperatures, noises, vibration, leakage or other
faults.
