4. SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

• The warning triangle labels all instructions important to safety. Always follow these, otherwise you could
injure yourself or damage the device.
• Children may not play with the device.
• Cleaning and user maintenance may not be carried out by children without supervision.
• Do not treat packaging material carelessly. It may become a dangerous plaything for a child!
• Only use this product for its designated purpose!
• Do not manipulate or disassemble the device!
• For your own safety, only use accessories and spare parts that are stated in these instructions or that are
recommended by the manufacturer!
• Caution: Do not leave the device unattended when charging! Use a fire-resistance surface, do not allow
flammable materials within a distance of 1m.
• If you are not familiar with the electrical system of your vehicle, or are not confident enough to carry out
the starting aid process yourself, do not use the device. Instead, obtain professional aid, ask your vehicle
manufacturer or commission a breakdown service.
• Read the operating instructions for your vehicle!
• For some vehicle types, it is possible that special precautions must be implemented before using a starting
aid with the vehicle (e.g. fuses that must be removed, or certain safety precautions that must be taken). With
some vehicle types, the battery is located in the boot. With such vehicles, you will often find starting aid
connections under the bonnet.
• This starting aid system is only intended for operation on 12V systems. DO NOT ATTEMPT to
use the device with 6V, 24V or for purpose other than the intended one. Not following these
instructions may have serious consequences for property and for people.
