Do not use the winch or the line for
towing. Safe assembly:
Check that the selected anchor point can
cope with the load from the winch's
maximum tractive force.
Only use assembly parts, components and
accessories approved by the manufacturer.
Only use parts with strength rating 8.8 or
higher.
Never weld mounting screws.
Take care when using screws that are
longer than those supplied by the
manufacturer. Screws that are too long
can damage the base plate and/or make
it impossible to assemble the winch safely.
Assemble the winch and attach the hook
to the end of the line before connecting
the electrical cables.
Position the line guide with the warning
label at the top.
Wind the line onto the drum in the
direction specified on the warning label
on the winch and/or in the
documentation. This is necessary in order
for the automatic brake (if present) to
work correctly.
Pre-tension the line and wind it with a
load before it is used. A firmly wound line
reduces the risk of seizing, which can
damage the line.
Check the line, the hook and the loops
before using the winch. A worn, kinked or
damaged line must be replaced
immediately. Damaged components must
be replaced before the winch is used.
Protect the parts against damage.
Do not allow a wired remote control to be
connected to the winch during winding,
rigging or when the winch is not in use.
Never hook the hook around the line. This
will damage the line.
Use a choke chain, a choke line or a
wooden block at the anchor point.
Remove all objects or obstacles that can
prevent the safe use of the winch.

Take the time required to arrange suitable
rigging for winching.
Check that the selected anchor point can
cope with the load, and that the strap or
chain cannot slip.
Avoid engaging or releasing the clutch
when the winch is under load, when the
line is tensioned or when the drum is in
motion.
Select an anchor point as far away as
possible. This provides the winch with the
greatest tractive force.
Never touch a tensioned line or a hook
that is under load.
Do not touch the line or the hook when
somebody else is operating the switch or
when the winch is in operation.
Always remain at a safe distance from the
line and the load, and keep other people
away while winching is in progress.
Keep an eye on the vehicle's stability at all
times during winching, and keep other
people at a distance. Warn everyone in
the vicinity in the event instability should
arise.
Do not use the winch to secure loads.
Keep the wired remote control's cable
away from the drum, the line and the
rigging. Check for cracks, trapped parts,
worn cables or loose connections. Replace
the remote control if it has been
damaged.
If the remote control is used inside the
vehicle, the cable must be passed through
a window so that it cannot be trapped in
the door.
Do not leave the remote control anywhere
where it can be activated during winding,
rigging or when the winch is not in use.
The user and anyone in the vicinity must
always pay attention to the vehicle and
the load.
Always use a hook with a catch.
Make sure that the hook's catch is closed
and that it is not supporting the load.
