your new machine will fully meet your requirements. To ensure optimum performance and
maintenance, please read this manual carefully and follow its instructions. This will enable you to
obtain the best results and protect your investment. This manual should always be kept with the
machine.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION AND INTENDED USE
GH 7 is a single-axle self-propelled machine equipped with an all purpose flail to cut grass in rough
areas and on slopes (max. 20 °). This machine is built on a frame fitted with a petrol engine. The
engine drives the wheels and P.T.O, which is usually connected to a rotary tiller. Other implements
can be connected to the P.T.O such as snow throwers, cutter bars and pivoting brushes. GH 7 is a
pedestrian-controlled machine, the operator steers the machine via the handle-bar where the
controls are located.
CAUTION! Before starting the engine, read this carefully. The following
warnings are very important to ensure the operator's safety!
Caution is the main safeguard in preventing accidents. We urge you to read the warnings that
follow when using this equipment and before starting any work at all. Improper use of this machine
and its equipment can be dangerous. To reduce the risks to the minimum, observe the necessary
precautions set out below:
1) Read the whole of this manual before using the all purpose flail. Be thoroughly familiar with the
controls and the proper use of the machine before starting.
2) Pay special attention to the safety warnings and labels.
3) The rotation of the all purpose flail is extremely dangerous; never insert hands or feet under
the carter of the all purpose flail when the engine is running.
4) Before other people are allowed to use the hydrostatic all purpose flail, make sure they are
informed about the safety regulations and how to properly use this equipment.
5) Ensure children and animals are kept at a safe distance of about 15 metres. Do not allow people
to come closer to the walking tractor when it is being used.
6) Never allow the all purpose flail to be used by anyone under 16 years of age
7) Do not use the all purpose flail when physically fatigues or under the influence of alcohol or
drugs that could impair the operator's physical and mental capacities.
8) Thoroughly check the ground before using the walking tractor and remove any object that could
damage the tines (e.g. stones) or that could be caught up and flung down, therefore becoming
highly dangerous. (e.g. branches, stones).
9) Always wear suitable clothing and footwear. It is recommended to wear safety footwear,
safety goggles, ear plugs and gloves, long trousers. Do not wear clothing or accessories
that could get trapped in the controls or in the all purpose flail (e.g. loose trousers,
scarves...).
10) Never use the machine barefoot.
11) Do not run with the all purpose flail.
12) Pay close attention when working on slopes. Always work across the slope and never
upwards/downwards. Pay greater attention when changing direction on slopes and never work on
excessively steep ground (max. 20°).
13) Pay close attention when working near ditches.
14) Carry out maintenance operations with lifted machine only if properly locked and held in
position with max. safety and when the engine is off.
