b) Before first use
• Always turn the transmitter on first and then immediately connect the receiver battery to the model
glider's electronics. Otherwise, the model glider may react unpredictably.
• Check the functional safety of your model and of the remote control system. Inspect the parts for any
signs of damage such as broken connectors or damaged cables. All movable parts on the model have
to be running smoothly; however, there must be no tolerance in the bearing.
• Charge the receiver battery required for operation according to the operating instructions.
• Always make sure that the batteries in the transmitter have sufficient residual capacity (battery tester). If
the batteries are empty, replace all of the batteries together. Never replace individual batteries.
• Prior to use, you must check and, where necessary, adjust the settings of the trim buttons for directional
control.
• Check that the wings and tail unit are intact and securely mounted before each use.
• Select a suitable ground to operate your model.
• Carry out a transmission range test before the first start on the day.
c) During use
• Do not take any risks when using the product! Your own safety and that of your environment depends
completely on your responsible use of the model.
• The model is launched into the air by a catapult start, which is like throwing a discus. As this starting
method entails a certain level of risk, the model should only be used in large enough spaces where there
are no obstacles. Any people present or animals should not be in the pilot's action area or the model's
flight area.
• Improper use can cause serious injury and damage to property! Ensure that you maintain a sufficient
distance from people, animals and objects.
• Fly your model only if your ability to respond is unrestricted. Fatigue, alcohol and medication can affect
your ability to respond.
• Do not direct your model towards spectators or towards yourself.
• Always leave the remote control turned on when the model is in use. After landing, always turn off the
receiver battery first before you switch the transmitter off.
• In case of a fault or a malfunction, establish the cause of the problem before using the model again.
• Don't expose your model and the remote control to direct sunlight or excessive heat for a long period
of time.
• After use, the receiver battery must be disconnected from the model and the remote control switched off.
If the model is being stored for a long period of time, remove the batteries from the transmitter.
