Maintenance
Before starting work
Check cable and power plug for damage.
If faults occur: Do not operate the
machine! Have the fault repaired by an
approved specialist!
Remove chips and waste from the saw
bench!
Check saw blade for damage and
wear. Use only saw blades with sharp,
undamaged cutting teeth!
Cleaning
Risk of injury! Always unplug
from the power supply before
cleaning! Risk of damage to machine!
Do not wet-clean the circular bench
saw! Do not use any solvents!
While working with the saw:
Empty the catcher bag of the chip
extractor regularly. To prevent overheating:
do not allow chips to build up!
After work
• Using a dry brush, clean dust and
chips from ventilation slots of the
motor housing.
• Remove dust and chips from all the
guides (parallel and mitre fence).
• Clean the outside of the casing with a
slightly moist cloth and allow it to dry
well.
Repair
Attempts at repair by non-
approved specialists may result
in injury!
Fault tracing and repair
• The machine will not start?
– Check the power socket and
associated house fuse. Check
the supply voltage is correct
(see "Technical data").
– Have carbon brushes checked by
approved specialists.
• The motor runs irregularly, stops,
or starts with difficulty?
– Have the carbon brushes exchanged
by authorised specialists.
• The cut surfaces become
discoloured?
– The feed rate is too high. Saw more
sensitively and feed more slowly!
– The saw teeth are blunt or broken.
Replace the saw blade!
– The saw blade is gummed up.
Demount and clean saw blade!
• The cut surfaces are untidy or tear
out?
– The saw teeth are blunt or broken.
Replace the saw blade!
