The unit must always operate in
counter rotation. Thus, do not
attempt to go in the opposite direc-
tion. The tool may otherwise be
pushed uncontrollably out of the
cut.
CAUTION! Only cut in a
straight line! It is not possible
to cut curves!
At the end of the groove, swing the
tool out before switching it off.
CAUTION! Only set the
machine down after it has
come to a standstill!
You can now use the chisel (23) to
remove the remaining brickwork
between the grooves.
Laser marking aid (2) (Figure 9)
The beam from the laser marking
aid makes it easier to carry out
straight cuts
a) along a pre-drawn cutting line on
the work piece
b) by pointing it at a marked fixed
point on the work piece.
The range of the beam is approxi-
mately 65 cm, depending on the
ambient lighting.
The laser marking aid is switched
on/off as required using the On/Off
switch (19).
Changing the battery (Figures 4 + 5)
Remove the battery compartment
cover (20) of the laser marking aid
(2). Always replace used batteries in
pairs. Make sure the polarity (+/–) is

correct. You will need 2 x 1.5 V
alkaline batteries of type Micro/AAA
(21).

CAUTION! Before performing
any care or maintenance
work, disconnect from the power!
Clean the tool with a damp cloth
only – do not use solvents. Dry well.
Keep the ventilation slots free of
dust. Before each use, check the
tool, the cable and accessories to
ensure that they are not damaged.
Have any repairs necessary com-
pleted by a specialist.
Worn carbon brushes automatically
switch the tool off.
The carbon brushes must always be
replaced in pairs by a specialist.
CAUTION! Electrical and bat­
tery operated units that no
longer work should not be disposed
of in the house hold waste! They are
to be collected separately, in
accordance with the 2012/19/EU
directive for the disposal of
electrical and electronic
waste, and sent for
proper and environ ­
mentally­friendly
recycling.
Please discard power tools no
longer usable at a local collection
point. Collection and disposal
of packaging materials separate­
ly by types complying with local
