CHARGING BATTERY
1. Charge
Note! As the charging lines are not alive, the battery charger
need not be disconnected from mains when connecting the
battery.
- Plug in mains plug
- The rated data and the software version appear on the display
for a 3-second period, after which the charger goes into stand-
by mode
- Connect battery as described above
- If a charging start-up delay has been set,
charging does not begin immediately.
The charger does not start the charging sequence (automatically)
until the displayed time-lag has elapsed.
- Charger automatically starts charging
process
2. Final charge
As soon as display shows fourth bar, the char-
ger starts final charge. Battery is 80 - 85 % full
and thus ready for use. Please wait for the
additional charge phase (3rd charge), before using re-using the
battery.
3. Additional charge
As soon as display shows fifth bar, the charger
starts additional charge. The additional char-
ge is needed for a full battery recharge, in
order to redistribute the electrolyte evenly (applies only to wet
batteries).
4. Compensation charge
As soon as all bars are shown, the charger
starts compensation charge to prevent batte-
ry from running down.
The battery is constantly ready for use and may be connected to
the charger as long as you like.
During the charging process, you may call the following parame-
ters using the [Info]-key:
current charging current
current battery voltage
ampere-hours charged
Further you may interrupt the charging process at any time using
the [Start/Stop]-key and call the following parameters using the
[Info]-key:
status of charge
ampere-hours charged
current battery voltage
characteristic selected
5. Disconnecting battery charger
To disconnect battery charger from battery, proceed as follows:
- Interrupt charging process using [Start/Stop]-key
- Unplug charging plug
INFO MENU
The info menu displays the currently valid settings of the charger.
- disconnect the charging cables from the battery
- plug the charger into the mains
- The rated data and the software version appear on the display
for a 3-second period, after which the charger goes into stand-
by mode
Launching the info menu
- Press and hold the "Info" button for 5 seconds

on characteristics with charging-factor control)
Main charging voltage (only on characteris-
tics with adjustable charging voltage)
Equalising-charge start-up delay (only on
characteristics with equalisation charge)
"Electrolyte circulation" setting activated
