23.Safe operation

1. Keep the working area clean.
Messy areas and benches are susceptible of
causing injuries.
2. Consider the environment of the working area.
Do not expose the tools to rain.
Due not use the tools at humid or wet places.
Maintain the working area well-illuminated.
Do not use the tools in the presence of
inflammable liquids or gases.
3. Protect against electroshocks.
Avoid contacts of the body with grounded or
mass-connected surfaces (for example tubes,
radiators, heaters, refrigerators).
4. Keep other persons away.
Do not allow other persons, especially children,
who are not related to the job, to touch the
machine or extendable cables, and keep them
away from the working area.
5. Store tools that are not being used.
When not in use, tools should be stored at dry
and closed place, out of children's' reach.
6. Do not force the tool.
It will work better and in a safer manner on the
characteristics which it is not meant for.
7. Use the correct tool.
Do not force a small tool to perform the work that
corresponds to a heavy tool.
Do not use tools for purposes for which they are
not meant for, e.g. do not use circular saws to cut
the branches of trees or logs.
8. Dress adequately.
Do not use wide clothing nor jewelry objects that
may be caught by moving parts.
Anti-skid footgear is recommended when
working outdoors.
Use protective caps for long hair.
9. Use protective equipment.
Use safety goggles.
Use face guards or masks to avoid dust if the
cutting operations may produce it.
10.Connect the dust extraction equipment.
If devices for connection to dust extracting and
collecting equipment are provided, ensure that
they are adequately connected and used.
11. Do not mishandle the cables.
Do never pull the cable for disconnecting it from
the power socket.
Keep the cable away from heat, oil and cutting
edges.

12.Secure work.
When possible, use clamps or a lathe to fasten
the work.
This is safer than using the hands.
13.Do not excessively extend your range of action.
Keep a firm standing on the floor and conserve
your equilibrium at all times.
14.Service the tools with care.
Keep cutting tools sharp and clean for better and
safer operation.
Follow the instructions regarding lubrication and
tool replacement.
Periodically check extensible cables and
replace them if they are damaged.
Keep grips dry, clean and free of grease and oil.
15.Disconnect the tools.
When not in use, before repair and when
accessories such as saw blades, drills and
blades are being changed, disconnect the tools
from the power supply.
16.Remove adjustment wrenches and monkey
wrenches.
Get accustomed to check that adjustment and
monkey wrenches are removed from the tool
before putting it into operation.
17.Avoid unintentional starting.
Ensure that the switch is in the "open" position
when plugging in the tool.
18.Use extensible cables outdoors.
When the tool is used outdoors, use only
extensible cables meant for outdoors use and
being marked for such purpose.
19.Keep alert.
Look at what you are doing, use common sense
and do not work with the machine when you are
tired.
20.Check damaged parts.
Before using a tool again, it should be carefully
checked to determine that it will operate properly
and that it will be apt for the operation it is meant
for.
Check the alignment and fastening of movable
parts, breakage of parts, the mounting and other
conditions that may affect its operation.
A protection or other part that is damaged should
be properly repaired or replaced by an
authorized technical service, unless otherwise
stated in the instructions manual.
Have faulty switches replaced by an authorized
technical service.
Do not use the tool of the switch does not switch
on or off.
