15.Measures for preventing
specific hazards of the machine
1. Preventions of contacts with the cutting
disk
1.1 Preventions when carrying out cutting
operations
1. The operator must obligatorily have sufficient
education and training and know this manual in
a manner that he/she is capable of knowing if a
machine and its working environment are
suspect of not providing a perfect service. Do
not use the machine in such circumstances.
2. Check the lack of guards, standard pusher stick
or any other component of the machine. Never
use the machine if it is not complete, in a perfect
state and correctly installed. If the machine has
been manipulated, lacks parts or is a bad state, it
shall be removed from the worksite, shall not be
used and shall be sent to the technical service.
3. Hands or other parts of the body or clothing shall
never be placed on or below the area of the
cutting path of the disk.
4. Fastening of the work pieces to be cut to the
support table shall not be made by hand but with
the help of the standard pushers, suitable key
seats and claws, that ensure under any
circumstance (appearance of knots, etc.) a solid
fastening of the piece to be cut to the support
table. By putting this preventive measure into
practice, the hazard of contacting the disk when
carrying out the operation is practically
abolished as it allows the hands staying away
from the hazard area.
5. The machine shall always be disconnected
when leaving it alone.
6. For cutting work pieces of more than 1.5 m the
presence of one or more assistants shall be
required.
1.2 Prevention of fortuitous contacts with the
disk running idle in the resting position
1. Independently from that the disk remains
protected by the safety guards as installed when
resting, use of the locking switch is categorically
discommended so as to ensure that the disk
does not rotate running idle in the resting
position thereof.
1.3 Prevention of abrupt downfall of the disk
due to breakage of the fastening spring
1. The machine shall be always in a perfect
condition by means of regular maintenance.

2. Each workday visually inspect the area and the
machine and routinely check all movements
with the machine disconnected.
3. Each workday check the springs and their seats
and have them periodically checked by
specialized personnel.
4. Make sure that the head perfectly ascends to its
upper position by action of the springs only.
5. Each workday check the upper locking system
by lifting the head as far as it goes and by
checking the automatic locking and unlocking by
me ans of control 4, and have this periodically
checked by specialized personnel.
6. Never expose your hands or any other part of
your body to the cutting path.
7. Never allow the head that carries the disk to stay
in an undetermined position unless the operator
is obligatorily holding the control grip 3.
8. For any timeout between cuts during work,
however short it may be, always use the
automatic locking of the head in the upper
position by lifting the head to the upper stop.
9. Whenever the machine is at rest, let it locked in
the lower resting positions by positioning the
hade 90º vertical and the stationary guard 49,
and finally locking it by lowering the head and
pressing button 32.
2. Prevention against projections of the cut
piece
1. The separating keel shall be mounted in a
perfect condition and correctly adjusted. The
work piece shall not contain nails and the
advance shall be performed by gently pushing
with the standard pusher.
2. For carrying out the cutting of work pieces using
a stop, this latter shall be collapsible and
movable. Once the cutting line has been
selected and the work piece has been solidly
fastened to the table, the operator shall remove
the stop so as to avoid the cut piece to become
stuck between this latter and the disk.

16.Dust extraction

The equipment is prepared for the installation of
equipment (not included) for suctioning particles
generated by cutting. There are two particle outlets,
one for the upper table and one for the lower table.
The extraction equipment shall be connected to the
particle outlet tube 25.
