Start-Up
e) Pre-Listening
Turn the CUE control (15) to its left stop (MIN position) before plugging in, unplugging or putting
on the headphones or switching the mixer on or off. There is a risk of damage to your hearing
through excessive volume at the headphones output.
Use the switches CH1 to CH3 (16) to select the channels to be pre-listened.
Switch pressed > Channel can be pre-listened
Switch not pressed > Channel cannot be pre-listened
Several channels can be pre-listened at the same time. For this, just press the several of the switches
CH1 to CH3 (16).
Use the control CUE/MASTER (17) to determine the volume ratio between the pre-listening channels (with the
switches CH1 to CH3 (16) selected) and the master signal.
Left stop > Only the pre-listening channels are played back.
Right stop > Only the output signal (master signal) of the mixer is played.
f) Crossfading/Mixing
Use the crossfader (9) to cross-fade/mix between the signals of the channels CHANNEL 2 and CHANNEL 3.
When the crossfader (9) is activated, one channel is faded out while the other channel is faded in. In centre
position, both fader channels are played equally.
If the speed of the two signals is to be adjusted first, observe the two beat counters BPM (8). The BPM value (beats
per minute) for channel 2 and channel 3 are displayed.
g) Using the DJ Microphone
Put the switch MIC / LINE/PHONO (4) into the MIC position.
Set the input level and the sound of the microphone input as already described in "Volume control."
If you wish to make an announcement, press the TALK (7) button and speak into the microphone. The mixer
reduces the volume of the other channels as long as the TALK (7) button is activated. This way, your
announcement will be easier to understand.
