hereby declares that the safety equipment de-
scribed in this manual,
• is identical to the PPE, having been subject
to the "CE"-type-examination certificate is-
sued by the APAVE SUDEUROPE SAS – CS
60193 – 13322 Marseille – France, identified
under the number 0082, and tested according
to standard EN 795-A:2012 for 1 operator et TS
16415:2013 for 2 operators.
10. Marking
The marking of the Tractel
indicates:
a. the trade name : TRACTEL
b. The description of the product,
c. the reference standard followed by the year
of application,
d. this equipment reference.
f. year and month of manufacture.
g. The following serial number or solar date the
case,
h. a pictogram showing that the manual must be
read before use,
w. Maximum operating load,
o. Minimum resistance to failure of the anchor-
age device,
p. Maximum number of operators who can use
the anchoring device simultaneously.

11. Periodic inspection and repair
An annual periodic inspection is required, but
depending on the frequency of use, environmen-
tal conditions and regulations of the company or
the country of use, periodic inspections may be
more frequent.
Periodic inspections must be carried out by an
authorised and competent technician and in ac-
cordance with the manufacturer's examination
procedures as set out in the "Tractel
fication Instructions" file.
Confirmation of the legibility of the product mark-
ings should be an integral part of the periodic
inspection.
At the end of the periodic inspection, the return
to service must be notified in writing by the au-
thorised and competent technician who conduct-
ed the periodic inspection. This return to service
must be recorded on the inspection sheet in the
middle of this manual. This inspection record
should be retained throughout the product's life
cycle, up until it is recycled.
After arresting a fall, this product must undergo
a periodic inspection as described in the current
article. The product's textile components must
be changed, even though they may not display
any visible change.
12. Lifespan
Tractel
textile PPE such as harnesses, lan-

and Tractel
lifelines can be used without restric-

tions, from their date of manufacture, provided
that they are subject to:
– use in accordance with this instruction manual,
– a periodic inspection, which must be per-
formed at least once a year by an approved
and competent technician. At the end of this
periodic review, the PPE must be declared in
writing fit for re-entry into service.
