The following installation procedure refers to
Figure 2.
The Tractel
tracrod base fall arrest anchors

can be installed on different types of reception
structures:
Can be installed on a concrete type recep-
tion structure (item 16) using two chemical
or mechanical dowels or on a metal struc-
ture (item 8) using two bolts (items 9, 10,
11) not supplied with the anchoring device.
« DANGER » : The anchor device fasten-

« BE CAREFUL .» Exceeding the fixing
pins of the anchoring point (item 9) of the
installation surface (fig. 1, item 9) will
cause the installation surface to protrude.
2) must not exceed 33mm.
« DANGER » : The tensile strength of
each fastener must be at least 1 150 daN
and 12 mm in diameter
« DANGER » : All screws, nut and M12
fixing bolt must be tightened to a torque of
3+/- 0.5 daN.m.
Installation procedure :
a) Place the axis of the fasteners (item 9, 10) in
the axis of the fastening holes of the anchor-
ing device (item 4)
b) Attach the anchoring device using two bolts
(item 9, 10, 11) for fixing to a metal structure
(item 8); threaded rods M12 (item 9, 10, 11)
for dowels in the case of fixing to a concrete
paving surface (item 16).
IMPORTANT : It is essential to place an
M12 stainless steel washer (item 11) be-

(item 3) and the screw head or fixing nut
(item 9, 10).
(d) Tighten the M12 fasteners (mark 9, 10) with
one or two 19" wrenches.
f) Tighten the fasteners (mark 9, 10, 11) to the
recommended torque if above.
(g) Mark with a permanent marker the month
and year of the first periodic inspection on
the label indicating the date of the next peri-
odic inspection (mark 19) and place it in the
location marked 'aa' on the marking area of
