5.5. Electrical control

The PCB features a type F 16 A / 6.3 x 32 mm microfuse. This fuse is designed to protect the PCB against damage from
voltage surges. An LED on the PCB indicates if the fuse has failed. If this LED illuminates, the fuse must be replaced.

6. Setup and spare parts list

A diagram of the machine and its spare parts can be found at the end of this document.

7. Residual risks

Risks for persons:
under the following circumstances, the safety of persons and material objects can be endangered:
• If the safety devices are removed.
• If any damage to the control system is not repaired immediately.
• If untrained personnel are working on electronic parts.
• If the machine is activated before being secured properly to a wall or pillar (for testing or demonstration reasons).
The following points summarise further measures aimed at protecting against personal and material risks:
• Ensure that the machine, the control devices and the brushes are not damaged during transport and installation.
• Mount the machine in a place that is well ventilated and free from electromagnetic interference.
• The personnel responsible must be trained in the use and maintenance of the machine.
Risk for animals:
under the following circumstances, the safety of the cattle can be endangered.
• The animals are not yet fully mature.
• The animals have collars and/or tail hairs that are too long.
• The animals' hides are more than 5 cm long.
• The customer has not protected the current-carrying parts (cables) adequately / at all against biting.
8. Dismantling / disposal
• The machine must be disconnected from the power supply before being dismantled.
• The machine must only be dismantled by authorised trained personnel or by a specialist service provider trained in its
dismantling.
• Operating fluids can be harmful to health. Suitable workwear and protective equipment must be worn when handling
these fluids.
• Machine parts must be separated according to the materials they contain and disposed of in an environmentally
compatible manner. National and international regulations must be observed.
• Oils and greases represent a potential danger to the environment. They must be disposed of in an environmentally
compatible manner in accordance with local regulations.
• The data sheets from the relevant manufacturer must also be consulted for the disposal of operating and working
materials.
Important: the length of the cattle's tail
hairs must not exceed 5 cm!
