Occupational safety during installation and dismantling:
• The machine must always be secured against falling or toppling over while being installed - risk of fatal injury!!!
–> Place a retaining strap around the machine and secure with a lifting device
• During installation and especially during operation, never reach inside the machine.
3.4. Electrical connection
The voltage and frequency must be as follows:
230 V / 50 Hz (Europe), 100 V / 200 V / 50 Hz (Japan), 115 V / 60 Hz (North America)
A 16 A alternating current must be installed to connect the machine, and it must be installed only be authorised
specialist personnel. It must be installed out of the animals' reach (e.g. above the machine).
Important!
The power connection between the machine and the socket must be protected so that the animals cannot reach it.
Before commissioning, the machine must be conductively connected to the pen installation's potential equalisation
system. Local safety and earthing requirements must be observed.
The machine must not be connected to the power circuit of other consumers.
The manufacturer accepts no responsibility for any damage caused by connections not set up by trained professionals!
No warranty claims will be entertained!
4. Operation
4.1. Switching on
Once the power supply is connected, the machine is ready for operation after around 10 seconds.
Triggering the contact switch (by lifting the brush on the machine) starts the worm-geared drive motor. The brushes now
run for around 60 seconds, following which a further contact triggering is required.
4.2. Function
If the gear motor is placed under too much strain, the brushes stand still and then move in the opposite direction.
If the brush is blocked 6 times within a running period of 60 seconds, the machine can be restarted after waiting around
15 seconds.
To avoid damage to the PCBs, the power supply to the machine should not be interrupted during operation.
During the first 30 hours of operation, the cow cleaning machine may stop event at a low torque. After around 30 hours
of operation, the gears of the worm-gear drive motor will be run in and will have achieved the required torque.
Important!
Before using the cow cleaning machine, the animals' tail hair must be cut to a length of no more than 5 cm! Regularly
check the length of the tail hairs and shorten them to the required length as necessary.
Cow horns can cause damage to the brush discs. It is therefore recommended that the machine only be used on hornless
cows.
