3. To loosen: turn the set screw counter
clockwise.
4. To tighten: turn the set screw clockwise
until the torque wrench clicks indicating
lock.
5. When the lead is securely attached to
the Precision Connector M1, follow the
appropriate tunneling and pocketing
procedures, and connect the proximal
end of the Precision Connector M1 to the
Precision IPG.

6. Prior to closing the wound, clean the
top of the seal plug and use medical
adhesive (e.g. Dow Corning Silastic
Medical Adhesive Silicone, Type A
- Sterile, as available from Boston
Scientific, part number SC-4320) to
coat and seal the top of the seal plug
(Figure 2).
NOTE: Inadvertent damage to the septum
seal may lead to unintended
stimulation at the Connector M1 if
the Medical Adhesive is not used as
intended.
7. When connecting to two Medtronic quad
leads or one Medtronic 2x4 paddle style
lead, two Precision Connector M1s are
used. Each proximal end of the Medtronic
lead connects to one Precision Connector
M1 which is inserted to one port of the
IPG (Figure 3).
