WARNING!
Risk of injury in the event of improper installation!
Improper installation can result in signifi cant bodily harm and property damage.
• The nationally applicable laying and fi lling regulations for pipes and cables are
to be observed at all times.
• Seal the underground and pipe substructure well prior to laying pipes/cables
so that the latter cannot subside.
IMPORTANT!
No sealing due to incorrect installation!
Improper installation can result in damage.
• Pressed seals are not fi xed points or bearings and, as such, are unsuitable for
sustaining mechanical forces.
• Press seals are not fi xed settlement points or bearings and therefore cannot
absorb any mechanical forces. Any anticipated reductions must be compensated
for by the installation of centering guides in the conduits or core drillings
and/or by spacers.
• For the one-sided installation of the press seal and the sealing set ADS into the
core drilling, carry out the sealing on the outside of building.
• The inside of the wall sleeve must be clean and free of dust and grease.
• Cables may not have any continuous grooves in the sealing area (possibly push
cable back or forwards a little until grooves are no longer visible).
• Cables must be clean and free of soiling.
• Do not spread lubricant on the outer sealing surface of the press seal. The latter
must be clean, dry and free of grease.
• The nuts of the hexagonal bolts must be on the installation side of the press
seal HRD.
• Openings that are not used must be sealed with suitable plugs.
• With a permanent dynamic pressure, the press seal must be secured against
sliding out of the core drill hole/wall sleeve.
• The press seal must be secured against sliding out of the core drill hole/wall
sleeve before starting disassembly.
• Depressurise the core drill hole/wall sleeve.
• If the press seal is installed in an exposed duct, then the duct wall must be
stabilised with a clamping strap at the location of the press seal.
• For the one-sided installation of the press seal into the core drilling, carry out
the sealing on the outside of building.
• Any anticipated recesses must be compensated for by installing centring aids
or spacers in the wall sleeves or core drill holes.
• In the case of thin-walled or foamed pipes, only tighten the seals to a point at
which the pipes are not deformed.
• Deformed or damaged corrugated cable ducts are not suitable for sealing.
These must be cut off or replaced.
• No cleaning agents containing solvent may be used to clean the cable seal. We
recommend using cable cleaner KR M.T.X.
