Individual press seal HRD
Pass the cables/pipes in the holes provided on the
press seal HRD and push them together fl ush with
the wall into the opening/wall sleeve (see fi g. 5).
Continue with work stage 3.
Cables/pipes may not have any continuous
grooves in the sealing area (possibly push cable/
pipe back or forwards a little until grooves are
no longer visible).
In the case of cables/pipes which have already
1b
been laid:
Coat only the cut surfaces and cable/pipe sealing
surfaces of the cable and pipe seal with GM lubri-
cant (included in the package) (see fi g. 6).
Do not coat the outer sealing surface of the cable
and pipe seal. This must be clean, dry and free
of grease.
Fold the press seal HRD around the cables/pipes and
2b
introduce it into the core drill hole/wall sleeve fl ush
with the wall (see fi g. 7).
Cables/pipes may not have any continuous
grooves in the sealing area (possibly push cable/
pipe back or forwards a little until grooves are
no longer visible).
Finally, tighten the hexagon nuts crosswise in several
3
stages using a torque wrench (see fi g. 8) until the
torque level has been reached (see Table 2) (see fi g. 9).

In the case of wall sleeves which are outside the
4
wall, either one or two clamping straps – depending
on the sealing width of the press seal HRD – have
to be additionally mounted centrally across the seal
(fi g. 10).
30 mm sealing width = 1 clamping strap
60 mm sealing width = 2 clamping straps

FHRK seal
Stick FHRK seal on the cleaned area on the wall (see

fi g.: 12).
Individual HRD press seals are tested by FHRK
according to current test guidelines and bear
the seal "FHRK Quality". Stick the seal on the
inside wall next to the core drill hole/wall sleeve.
This allows you to demonstrate that you are
using tested quality products.
