This operating manual is intended for the safe operation of the automatic lubrication
system perma CLASSIC.
- The lubricator should only be used one time and must not be opened or
taken apart.
- Avoid contact of oil/grease with eyes, skin and clothing; also avoid
swallowing of oil/grease.
- Prevent oil/grease from getting into soil or sewer system.
- Observe safety data sheets of oil/grease.
You may also download data sheets of lubricants supplied by perma-tec from
perma-tec´s web page (www.perma-tec.com) or ask your local supplier.
perma-tec GmbH &. Co. KG can not be held liable for damages and malfunctions
which are caused by inappropriate usage and inappropriate operations on or with
the lubricator.
Under normal ambient conditions (room temperature), the lubricator can be stored
for 1 year.
perma CLASSIC can be used for lubrication points of roller- and sliding bearings,
chains, guidelines, open gears, etc.
2. Initial operation (also refer to label on lubricator)

When using a lubricator for the fi rst time, remove grease fi tting of lubrication
point and screw in a respective reducer (refer to chapter 7) together with a
standard sealant.

When using an oil fi lled perma CLASSIC, an oil throttle must be installed
between the lubricator and the lubrication point (refer to chapter 7).

Pre-lubricate the lubrication point and any connecting tubes with the same
lubricant that is contained in the lubricator.

Check and make sure that the activator screw contains the metal activator pellet
(refer to picture 2).

Hold the lubricator with the opening pointing

down. Select the correct activator screw
according to your required discharge period
and hand screw it into the bottom of the
lubricator.

Put a suitable tool through the ring-eyelet and use it to turn the activator screw
until the ring-eyelet breaks off at the intended break point. The lubricator is
activated if you can hear a slight rattle (activating pellet) when you shake it.
