c) Setting the rudder deflections
If correctly assembled and if the transmitter settings are made properly, the rudders should show the following deflection values (measured at the rear edge):
Aileron
20° upwards
Elevator
8-10 mm upwards
Caution!
These values represent the upper and lower limits of the rudder deflections. Adjust the deflections individually to suit your personal preferences. If
you are using a computer remote control, you can comfortably set the values on the transmitter. If you are using a normal remote control, the values
are set by repositioning the push rods on the servo arms or the flaps.
d) Operating the speed controller
First, switch on the remote control and move the motor control stick to the bottom position (motor off).
If the transmitter is set correctly, you will hear three fast sound sequences followed by three individual sounds. Then the propeller will start briefly so you can
check the rotating direction. If necessary, swap two of the three motor connections to change to rotating direction of the motor.
If you only hear four individual sounds of different pitch after connecting the battery, reverse the function of the motor control stick using the reverse
function.

Important!

The integrated BEC power supply provides the required operating voltage for the servos and the receiver. When connecting 4 servos, the input
voltage must not exceed 12 V (10 NiCd/NiMH cells or 3 LiPo cells).
e) Programming the speed controller
The speed controller provides a brake function which can be activated or deactivated. To activate/deactivate the break function, move the control stick to full-
throttle position for maximum motor speed with the transmitter switched on.
Now connect the flight battery to the speed controller. Once the motor has emitted four individual sounds of different pitch, move the control stick on the
transmitter to "motor off" position and wait until the motor has emitted three individual sounds.
Then separate the flight battery from the speed controller and connect it again. Now the brake function is switched.
