6.5 Electrical interference

The DualScan cat flap contains a sensitive radio receiver to pick up the signal from
your cat's microchip. In rare instances, excessive levels of electrical interference
can cause the range of the system to degrade. Avoid the following situations:
1. The DualScan cat flap should not be used in the vicinity of other microchip readers or
similar low frequency devices. These are particularly detrimental to performance and
may prevent normal operation.
2. Avoid obvious sources of electrical noise such as faulty, flickering lights.
3. Avoid trailing mains cables and DC mains adaptors very close to the DualScan cat flap.
If you suspect electrical interference may be affecting the performance of your DualScan
cat flap please contact customer service for assistance.
