If the knob (17) still cannot be turned
after the machine has cooled off for 1

hour, you must perform an emergency
opening.
1. Take a thin rigid wire, e. g. a paper

clip that has been bent up. The wire
may not have any burrs or a sharp
edge as it serves to push back the
gasket.

• Wrap the wire with a kitchen towel or
the like so that you can take hold of it.
2. A small opening in the housing is
located next to the handle of the pad
cassette.
3. Run the wire horizontally into the
most accessible opening and push it
in gently. After approximately 3 cm,
the pressure will suddenly subside
and a small amount of coffee will be
released. The blockage of the knob
has now been removed.
4. Take out the pad cassette and clean it
thoroughly.
5. In the future, check the following
every time before brewing:
– that the middle opening of the pad
cassette is free
– that the pads are not damaged and
– that the powder holder does not
contain any leftover powder.
