Automatic deactivation

If the machine is not used for more than
approximately 30 minutes, then it will au-
tomatically turn off. The power consump-
tion is then less than 1 watt.
The machine thereby complies with the
requirements of the European Directive
2005/32/EC that defines the ecologi-
cal design requirements for the energy
consumption of electrical household
appliances.

Additional functions

Rinse cycle

Rinse the machine if it hasn't been used
for several days. This will replace the
content of the boiler with fresh water.
• After rinsing the tank, the pump will
first suck in air, thereby producing a
loud noise.
Scalding hazard!
Hot steam is also produced during
the rinse cycle.
• Ensure that the milk frother (
been mounted on the machine and
that a container has been placed
under it.
Always start the rinse cycle directly
after activation before the machine
heats up – this way you will save energy.
