You can also enjoy your favourite brand
of coffee freshly ground with crema. For

this, use the powder holder as described
below instead of the coffee pads:
1. Place one paper filter in the basket

(28). It filters out floating particles,
thereby refining the flavour of the cof-
fee. You can, however, also use the
machine without filter paper.
2. Add the coffee or espresso powder.
Depending on the coffee quality, the
powder holder can carry 6 to 7.5 g.
This is enough for one cup of coffee.
3. Skim off the basket once it has been
filled up to the edge and only press
the powder down gently.
4. Close the powder holder by pushing
on the lid.
5. Thoroughly remove any remaining
powder stuck to the outside. It could
block the pad holder and jam the
adjusting knob. If this nonetheless
happens despite following these
notes, please proceed as described
on page
6. Insert the powder holder in side
the pad holder.
7. Start preparing your beverage as
described above.
8. For hygienic reasons, remove the
powder holder as soon as possible
after brewing and rinse everything off
under running water.
