4.2 Ignition

Only use the fuel described in section 3.
1. Open the sliding door (wearing the special
glove provided) by taking hold of the handle and
pushing it upwards;
2. Using the cold handle (provided) (A - Fig.
4.2a), fully open (+) the main air adjustment (A -
Fig. 4.2b);
3. Carefully place the logs in the combustion
chamber, making sure not to completely cover
the slots in the grill (B - Fig. 4.2a) and the front
and rear holes of the combustive air distributor
(B - Fig. 5.2b);
4. Place a natural fire lighter on the logs;
5. Add a few thin strips of wood criss-crossed on
top;
6. Ignite the fire lighter from the top;
7. Close the fire door and make sure it is firmly
locked in place;
8. Keep the air inlet open to ensure a high, bright
flame (A - Fig. 4.2b);
9. Only reduce the air inlet aperture (B - Fig. 4.2b),
using the special cold handle, once a good base of
embers has formed.

4.3 Adding logs

During operation, the following procedure must
be followed to load more logs:
• Open the fire door slowly to avoid creating an
air vacuum in the stove which may cause puffs
of smoke in the room.
• Add more logs to the stove and then close the
fire door.
Do not overheat the product by
adding excessive amounts of fuel.
Add logs when embers have formed
and the flame is low.
The appliance is fitted with a bypass valve which,
when opened, helps fumes escape through the
chimney, thereby minimizing the puffs of smoke
in the room.
