NB: An Iceross Seal-In X Seal ring must be donned before donning the
socket.
With the device and seal ring correctly configured, simply step into the
socket, expelling all air until fully engaged into the distal end (see Figures
8 & 9).
Socket Fit
Achieving the intended function of the Iceross Seal-In System is
dependent on the fit of the hard socket. Appropriate socket design is
essential to achieve suspension, control, and comfort.
The following checklist should be used when checking the socket fit:
• User can don the socket easily without the use of lubricant aids.
• Full contact between the device lips and the socket inner wall.
• No air pockets develop when the user loads the prosthesis.
• Good proximal fit.
• No pistoning in the socket.
• No visible movement when pulling on the prosthesis.
• Good rotational stability.
• Full movement possible without compromising distal vacuum.
Precaution: If feedback indicates any of the above conditions are not met,
the socket will need to be adjusted or remade accordingly.

DAILY CARE

NB: Daily cleaning of the residual limb is essential. Use of a mild, pH
balanced, 100% fragrance- and dye-free liquid soap is recommended. If
skin is dry, apply a pH balanced, 100% fragrance- and dye-free lotion to
nourish and soften the skin.
Perspiration
Precaution: If device use results in excessive perspiration such that
stability or suspension are compromised, it is recommended to remove
the device and dry off both the device and the residual limb.
Cleaning
It is essential to take proper care of the device, and wash it daily following
use. The device can be used immediately after cleaning and drying.
• Remove the device, turn inside out (Figure 4).
• Wash with pH balanced, 100% fragrance- and dye-free liquid soap.
• The device can also be machine washed (40 °C / warm) with a mild
detergent. Fabric softeners, bleaches, and other products/cleaning
solutions may result in device damage and should NOT be used.
• After washing, rinse the device thoroughly with hot water (Figure 10),
and pat dry on both sides with a lint-free cloth.
NB: Always return the device to its neutral state (with the textile cover
facing out) immediately after cleaning. Do NOT store inside-out as
device damage may result.
