5.3 Annual Maintenance
Inspections (after emptying and cleaning have been carried out) by a qualified person:
Check the functioning of the disposal pump.
■
Remove the filter sieve on the intake connection for the HD pump and clean it.
■
Check the functioning of the HD pump and the HD cleaning head.
■
Check the HD pump oil level,
■
Hose connection between the pneumatic box and the measuring tube for tank empty:
■
check the tank empty hose for a free flow, and blow through if necessary.
Check the tank empty measuring tube (air bubbling pipe), in particular the opening of the
■
pipe in the tank for dirt and cross-section constrictions, clean if necessary.
Check the empty tank pneumatic box: the smallest-size processor and the circuit breaker
■
are fastened separately in a box on the pilot tube. If the air bubbling system is impaired,
functional disorders may occur in the disposal pump.
Check the functioning of the smallest-size compressor and the circuit breaker: the circuit
■
breaker switching points are set at the factory and may be adjusted.
Check the inspection glass: tighten the outer thread screw if there are any leaks. If fluid
■
continues to leak out, the unit will need to be replaced.
Check the interior wall surfaces of the grease separator, in particular in the case of
■
metallic materials, for corrosion in the area of the three-phase boundary (layers of water,
grease and air).
Check the functioning of electric component installations, e.g. disposal pump.
■
Check the functioning of the suction equipment and the free outlow of the fresh water
■
filling unit in accordance with EN 1717. Clean the outlet of the drinking water filling unit.
Check the inspection door(s) and in particular the condition and sealing capacity of the
■
gasket(s).
5.4 Five-year General Inspection
Inspections (after emptying and cleaning have been carried out) by a competent person
before initial operation and then at the latest every five years:
Check measurement of grease separator system.
■
Check the structural condition and the tightness of the grease separator system
■
according to DIN 4040-100.
Check the condition of the interior wall surfaces, the built-in components and the
■
electrical installations.
Check the proper execution of the grease separation system ventilation pipe als a
■
ventilation pipe on the roof in accordance with EN 1825-2.
Check the entries in the operating log book for completeness and plausibility, e.g.
■
evidence of proper disposal, and ingredients and samples taken.
Check for a complete set of required approvals and documents, e.g. authorisations,
■
drainage plans, instructions for use and maintenance.
