3.1.1 Assembly Requirements
Please observe the following when assembling the grease separator:
Not near recreation rooms and in particular not near windows facing pavements or vents
■
in order to avoid unpleasant smells.
If possible near the source of waste water generation in well-ventilated, frost-free rooms,
■
public throughfares and storage spaces. Easily accessible for assembly, operation,
disposal, cleaning and maintenance work.
Horizontal floor suitable for bearing the corresponding load (analysis of load-bearing
■
capacity by a structural engineer).
The grease separator may be installed on a sound-absorbing bottom layer (e.g. made of
■
SBR or NBR materials)
Connections for drinking water and drainage systems as well as electrical installations
■
must be present.
Drainage points, e.g. floor drains, are to be provided with odour traps and, if necessary,
■
with buckets which can be removed to be cleaned.
