Safety instructions

During the removal and installation of the driver's seats, the
•
corresponding instructions by the specific vehicle manufacturer must
be strictly observed!
All installation work must be performed exclusively by adequately
•
trained personnel.
All work steps and procedures described are to be performed with
•
consideration to the applicable directives and regulations stipulated by
the relevant local authorities and in compliance with the provisions on
health protection, prevention of accidents and environmental
protection.
When using oil, grease and other chemical substances the relevant
•
safety and environmental regulations for the handling and use of these
materials must be observed.
When retrofitting the seat, all micro-encapsulated screws are to be
•
replaced by new ones.
Do not try to repair the seat by yourself in case of any faults. In such a
•
case, all guarantees will expire!
Let all maintenance and repair work be done by the qualified customer
service.
Electrical system
Before starting installation, disconnect the battery from the power
•
supply.
The electrical system of the seat is designed for a 12 V vehicle supply
•
network with minus to ground. Before connection, check if the electrical
system of the vehicle meets these requirements.
Fuses must not be replaced by fuses of a higher value if the cable
•
harness is not designed for this purpose.
Non-observance of the above-mentioned might involve consequential
damage of the seat or the vehicle.
Blown fuses must be replaced by substitute fuses with identical
•
parameters only.
If a fuse blows several times, this might indicate a short circuit. In such
a case, check the connections of the cable harnesses.
