5 Preparing connection of the power supply for the seat
(Figure 3.2.1, page 72)
5.1 Note:
Please perform steps 5.1 and 5.2 only if the connectors from the
installation kit do not fit the vehicle connector.
Cut off the connectors from the vehicle connecting cable (a) and crimp
the contacts of the installation kit onto the wires (b):
• Crimp the flat plug receptacles (6) onto the positive wire.
• Crimp the flat plug (4) onto the negative wire.
Note:
Use the larger flat plug receptacle (6) and the larger flat plug (4) of the
installation kit for the lines (b).
5.2 Slide the flat plug receptacle (6) and the flat plug with the wires (b)
into the chambers of the receptacle shell (7) and the connector shell
(5).
5.3 Attention:
Please observe correct polarity when crimping the contacts onto the
lines!
Power supply
Crimp the flat plug receptacle (6) or the flat plug (4) onto the wires of
the seat connecting cable (2) for power supply (f/g) according to the
type of contacts on the vehicle lines.
Note:
The lines for voltage supply (f/g) have a diameter of 2.5 mm.
Therefore, use the larger flat plug receptacle (6) and the larger flat
plug (4) of the installation kit.
5.4 Slide the flat plug receptacle (6) or the flat plug with the wires (f/g) into
the chambers of the receptacle shell (7) or the connector shell (5).
