All work steps and procedures described are to be performed with consideration to the

applicable directives and regulations stipulated by the relevant local authorities and in
compliance with the provisions on health protection, prevention of accidents and envi-
ronmental protection.
All parts shown in the figures of these installation instructions are consequently num-
•
bered starting with "1" or "A".
For spare part orders, please use the numbers stated in the latest issue of the relevant
•
spare parts catalogue.
The values for minimum distances in order to prevent body limbs from being crushed
•
have to be observed in accordance with the DIN EN 349 standard.
When using oil, grease and other chemical substances, the relevant safety regulations
•
for the handling and use of these products must be observed.
A correctly functioning and individually adjusted boat seat is essential to your health.
•
Take adequate care of your boat seat and have it serviced regularly to ensure that it
functions correctly.
The functional checks are to be carried out at least as regularly as boat services
(see maintenance plan for the boat).
These operating instructions should always be kept with the boat seat. If the boat seat is
•
passed on to a third party, it must be accompanied by the relevant operating instructions.
Safety instructions
When operating the adjustment mechanisms of the seat, make sure to keep your hands
•
out of the area of moving parts. Risk of injury!
The safety instructions of the boat manufacturer and the chapter "Installation notes" of
•
these operating instructions must be strictly observed. If you fail to do so, there is an
increased risk of accidents and injury!
The boat seat must not be dismantled. In case of non-observance, there is an increased
•
risk of injury due to the spring of the spring assembly – it may jerk forward and cause
injury due to its high initial tension! If it is necessary to dismantle the seat for repair pur-
poses, this has to be done in an authorized workshop only.
