CONGRATULATIONS ON HAVING CHOSEN THE CO2ENERGY CARBON DIOXIDE
DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM. CO2ENERGY is a new creation from Ferplast, a world of
aquariums and accessories for all aquarium owners, from the less expert to the most
demanding. CO2ENERGY is an innovative system that combines utmost respect for
the health of the plants and fish with absolute simplicity of use. CO2ENERGY is built
on the experience and enthusiasm of Ferplast Research and Development team and
ensures the constant, highly efficient release of carbon dioxide into the aquarium. The
distribution system is already equipped with everything needed to operate correctly,
including an approved pump that complies with the relative international safety
regulations.
INTRODUCTION. In order to grow well, the plants in your aquarium need:
• light, indispensable for photosynthesis;
• fertilizer, important for the absorption of mineral salts;
• water with the right chemical-physical properties;
• carbon dioxide (CO2), important for the assimilation of carbon.
During the day, plants absorb CO2 to release oxygen into their environment, a
fundamental element for all the inhabitants of the aquarium. It is therefore important
that there is always the right concentration of CO2 so that some plants, assimilating
the carbon from the carbonates, do not lower the temporary hardness (KH) or pH too
much (KH<4dH; pH<6). CO2, in the form of carbonic acid, acts not only as a fertilizer,
but also as a constant regulator of the pH (increasing the concentration of CO2 in the
water reduces the pH).
Ferplast makes two CO2 distribution systems:
CO2ENERGY PROFESSIONAL (CO2 cylinder system)
• REACTOR: disposable cylinder / *rechargeable cylinder
• DISTRIBUTOR: CO2ENERGY MIXER With 250 l/h pump
• RECOMMENDED VOLUME: up to 500 litres
CO2ENERGY CLASSIC (CO2 fermentation system)
• REACTOR: plastic bottle
• DISTRIBUTOR: CO2ENERGY MIXER With 250 l/h pump
• RECOMMENDED VOLUME: up to 150 litres
Thanks to the CO2ENERGY MIXER, universal distributor, both systems ensure the
dispersion of the CO2 released, offering high efficiency without waste, ensuring
excellent results, even with a limited number of bubbles per minute.
*The Ferplast collection does not include a rechargeable cylinder (though this is
available from your retailer); however, an adaptor is available to connect the pressure
reducer in the CO2ENERGY PROFESSIONAL kit to it.

PRELIMINARY WARNINGS

• The cylinder can only be transported with the rubber
protection cap (CO2ENERGY PROFESSIONAL).
• The cylinder should never be transported with
the pressure reducer installed (CO2ENERGY
PROFESSIONAL).
