1 Position the cylinder (disposable or rechargeable) vertically, away from heating
radiators and other heat sources.
2 Remove the rubber protection cap from the cylinder valve.
3 If using a disposable cylinder:
a slowly screw in the pressure reducer at the cylinder valve.
4 If using a rechargeable cylinder:
a Ensure you have the special Ferplast adaptor.
b Screw the adaptor tightly onto the rechargeable cylinder.
c Screw the pressure reducer onto the adaptor (no spanners or tools are required).
5 You can check the pressure in the cylinder with the special Ferplast pressure
gauge (CO2ENERGY ADAPTER 0-150 bar), available from your retailer, attaching it
BEFOREHAND to the reducer at the point marked HP (take care to remove the plug
from the gauge seat on the reducer; insert the special seal before screwing in the
gauge).
6 Half-fill the bubble counter with water. The bubble counter can be placed on a flat
surface (better if fixed to the base with doublesided tape), or permanently attached
to the aquarium with the sucker.
7 Connect the outlet of the pressure reducer to the bubble counter inlet (IN) with the
silicon hose.
8 Connect the distributor to the bubble counter outlet (OUT) with the non-return valve
in between (ensure that the non-return valve is fitted in the right direction,
with the arrow pointing towards the aquarium).
9 The outlet pressure is pre-set to 2 bar (you can check this with the special Ferplast
pressure gauge (0-4 bar), attaching it BEFOREHAND to the reducer at the point
opposite the letters HP in the same way as explained at point 5. (This pressure setting
cannot be adjusted).
10 Set the required quantity of bubbles with the needle valve, using the spanner
supplied with the pressure reducer (see illustration B).
11 Check that the number of bubbles is constant. After a short initial period when
there may be small variations, the number of bubbles will remain constant until the
cylinder is empty.
REPLACING THE EMPTY DISPOSABLE CYLINDER
• Ensure that the needle valve is tight.
• Remove the silicon hose.
• Unscrew the pressure reducer from the empty cylinder and screw it onto the new one,
proceeding as described above at point 1.
REPLACING THE EMPTY RECHARGEABLE CYLINDER
• Ensure that the needle valve and the cylinder tap are tight.
• Manually unscrew the pressure reducer first, then the adaptor.
• Screw it onto the new rechargeable cylinder as described at point 5.
• Before replacing the cylinder, check that the adaptor seal is in good condition.

INSTALLATION. Please read the following instructions carefully, so as to ensure the best
operation of the system.
1 Unscrew the cap from the bottle and fill it with 160 g of ordinary white sugar.
