IMPORTANT WARNINGS

Before performing any operation, please read the following instructions

carefully for your safety and to prevent damage to the aquarium:
• this product is designed for indoor use;
• ensure that the voltage indicated on the equipment corresponds to the
power supply voltage;
• ensure your home is already protected with a ground fault circuit

interrupter with trip thresholds settings at 30mA;
• do not connect the product to the power supply before completing all
installation operations (including filling the fish tank);
• connect the plugs to the power supply and leave a loop in the wire,

below the socket, in order to avoid drops of water reaching the power
supply (Fig. 1);
• disconnect the equipment from the power supply before carrying out
any maintenance activity;
D • the connectors between the bar and the adapter must correctly be
inserted and the ring nuts perfectly tightened in order to prevent
water from entering (IP67);
• never submerge the lamp;
• if a power supply line is damaged it cannot be repaired or substituted:

the whole device needs to be replaced;
• only use the LED bars with their adapter;
• the adapter has to be used only with the specific LED bars by Ferplast;
• make sure the LED bars are perfectly fixed to the aquarium by means

of the specific hooks so that they never touch the water.
• never take the heater out of the water when connected to the power
supply. Before removing it, disconnect it and let it cool for at least five
minutes;
• this appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above

and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or
lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision
or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and
understand the hazards involved;

• cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without
supervision. Children shall not play with the appliance;
• keep the power cable away from children less than 8 years old;
• the intake filter grills must never be obstructed;
HU • any extraordinary maintenance operations must be carried out by
qualified personnel only. Important: qualified personnel means
any qualified member of the register of installers. Extraordinary
maintenance means any type of maintenance that is not foreseen in
the paragraphs entitled "MAINTENANCE OF STAR LED AQUARIUMS";

• Before installing the aquarium, check that all products are intact.
Although Ferplast uses safe packaging and individually checks each
product, we advise you to make sure that the components have not
been accidentally damaged during transport, stocking and sale, and

that their functionality has not been prejudiced.
Although Ferplast only uses high quality silicone, during maintenance of
your aquarium we recommend that you:
• do not damage the silicone cord with scissors, pliers, brushes or
scrapers;

• do not use detergents, solvents or chemical products (descaler,
ammonium-based products, etc.) to clean the glass, as they could
damage the silicone, causing it to become detached (possibly some
time later);

• do not use adhesives or adhesive tape near the silicone when applying
backgrounds;

• You should always use a spirit level to make sure that the aquarium is
placed on a perfectly flat surface in both directions (length and depth),
so as not to break the glass or damage the silicone;
• The floor (Fig. 2A) must hold the total weight of the support
(Fig. 2B) and of the set up tank (Fig. 2C) (including water, and
decorations);
• The product guarantee becomes null and void if these instructions and
warnings are not followed.
IMPORTANT. Within the European Union, a crossed-out wheelie bin symbol on the product,
documentation or packaging indicates that the product cannot be disposed of in the regular household
waste stream, in compliance with EU Directive 2012/19/EC and with current local regulations. The
product must be disposed of at recycling centres or authorised waste disposal centres for electrical and
electronic equipment, in accordance with current legislation in the country where the product is found.
Incorrect disposal of this type of waste can have a negative impact on the environment and human
health, caused by the potentially hazardous substances produce by electrical and electronic equipment.
Correct disposal of these products will also contribute to the efficient use of natural resources. Further
information is available from the product retailer, the competent local authorities and national
manufacturer's organisations.
GUARANTEE. This product, all its parts and accessories are covered by warranty within the limits
provided for in this paragraph and the legal regulations currently in force. The guarantee only covers
manufacturing defects and includes the repair or replacement of the product free of charge. The
guarantee does not cover damage and/or defects caused by carelessness, wear, unsuitable usage not
complying with the instructions and warnings in this manual, accidents, tampering, incorrect use, bad
repair work or purchases not accompanied by a fiscal receipt.

been conceived to satisfy your needs and for the health of the fishes that will live in your small underwater
world. It is easy and funny to install and manage the aquarium, just a few minutes of maintenance every
month are needed to keep the aquarium in perfect working conditions. STAR LED fish tanks are provided
with all that is needed for their optimal functioning. Each component is approved and complies with
international safety rules.

OPENING THE PACKAGE

The STAR LED aquarium package includes the following:
• STAR LED aquarium, complete with high efficiency LED lamps complete with adapter;
• BLUEXTREME external filters, including pump and filtering material:
n° 1 for STAR CUBE LED, STAR 120 LED and STAR 160 LED or n° 2 for STAR 200 LED;
• BLUCLIMA heaters:
n° 1 for STAR CUBE LED, STAR 120 LED or n° 2 for STAR 160 LED and STAR 200 LED;
• n° 1 BLU 9197 thermometer.
DISCOVERING THE GREAT QUALITIES
LED LAMPS (Fig. 3). All STAR LED aquariums come complete with high efficiency LED lamps offering
your fish the best lighting. You may choose between TOPLIFE, FRESHLIFE and SEALIFE. The excellent
colour performance of the TOPLIFE lamps enhances the beautiful colour of fish and plants and allows you
to look at them as if they were in their natural environment. Thanks to their 65300K colour temperature
they faithfully reproduce natural day light conditions. FRESHLIFE, with its natural 10000K light, favours
plant photosynthesis and stimulates the production of oxygen, thus ensuring high energy in the
blue region of the electromagnetic spectrum with excellent colour performance. SEALIFE faithfully
reproduces natural lighting conditions encountered in a 10 metre-deep sea environment. It favours
the growth of photosynthetic organisms and improves the development of coral and invertebrates. It
creates a coloured sea environment.
ELECTRONIC POWER SUPPLY DEVICES. Electronic power supply devices, with lamps positioned
on the surface of the water, ensure adequate lighting in the aquarium environment and maximum
safety, user-friendliness and easy maintenance. Electronic power supply, compared to traditional
power supply, guarantees:
• Energy saving in accordance with the 2000/55 European Directive on the use of low energy
consumption appliances
• Low tension safety working power (12 V)
• Greater duration of lamps
• Stable lighting: more similar to sunlight (the typical flickering of traditional lighting is not
perceived)
• Greater quality of lighting, which remains constant up to the end of lamp life
• Lower temperatures: electronic power supply does not disperse much heat
• Less weight: electronic power supply devices are much lighter.
