CO2ENERGY
production of CO2 over an extended period.
3 Add 380 ml of water (at a temperature of about 24-26°C). We recommend using water
from the aquarium.
4 Screw on the cap and DO NOT SHAKE.
5 Half-fill the bubble counter with water. The bubble counter can be placed on a
flat surface (better if fixed to the base, for example with double-sided tape), or
permanently attached to the aquarium with the sucker.
6 Place the bottle near the aquarium and connect it to the bubble counter inlet (IN)
with the special silicon hose.
7 Connect the distributor to the bubble counter outlet (OUT) with the silicon hose,
putting the non-return valve in between (ensure that the non-return valve
is fitted in the right direction, with the arrow pointing towards the
aquarium).
8 Position the distributor vertically in the aquarium using the suckers, at least 2 cm
below the water surface.
9 Connect the pump to the power supply.
NOTES. The CO2ENERGY CLASSIC system is activated over the course of the day. The
number of bubbles produced by the micro-organism induced fermentation can be
counted after 24 hours (the number of bubbles cannot be adjusted). This system has
been designed to last one month. The production of CO2 caused by the fermentation
of micro-organisms is closely linked to temperature. The monthly duration of the
CO2ENERGY CLASSIC system and the average number of bubbles have been calculated
for a room temperature of 24°C. At lower temperatures fewer bubbles are produced
so the system lasts longer; at higher temperatures more bubbles are produced and
duration is reduced. It is recommended that the micro-organisms be used within 24
months of the production date shown on the sachet. Keep the ingredients in a dry and
cool place, ideally in a fridge at a constant 4°C.
RECHARGING. When fermentation in the CO2ENERGY CLASSIC system ends, proceed
as follows:
• disconnect the pump from the power supply;
• remove the silicon hose from the bottle and unscrew the cap.
• discard the liquid (the contents are 100% biodegradable).
• rinse the bottle with tap water (never use detergents).
• refill the bottle following the above directions.
• to ensure the best operation of the system, we recommend using CO2ENERGY
INGREDIENTS A, B and C.
CO2ENERGY MIXER
INTERNAL DISTRIBUTOR SPONGE (see illustration C):
• Unfasten the lower distributor cover and take out the sponge to rinse it.
• Clean this sponge at least monthly.
PUMP PRE-FILTER SPONGE (see illustration D):
• Remove the pump cover.
• Take out the sponge and rinse.
8
• Clean this sponge every 2-3 weeks.
