Transverse stabilizer
U-shaped curved spring steel wire, which is connected, at both ends, with a lower transverse arm respectively via ball-shaped heads In the center, the wire
bracket is fastened rotatable on the differential housing. If one wheel deflects, the other wheel is deflected as well across the bracket. This reduces the heeling
(rolling) of the vehicle when driving in curves. The transverse stabilizer supports the impact of oil dampened-shock absorbers, in particular when the wheel is
deflected. The restoring force of the wire bracket supports the rebounce of the shock absorber (against the friction in the piston). Therewith, wheel strike is
ensured in every situation.
RC model
"Radio controlled", to be more precise: "Remote controlled" model vehicle.
Resonance exhaust silencer
The resonance exhaust silencer serves, on the one side, to absorb sounds, on the other side, to display the optimal output of the engine.
Slide carburettor
Air supply to the engine is regulated by moving the carburettor slide. At the same time the conic needle of a needle valve (idle nozzle needle) is moved and
therefore the amount of fuel that is flowing through the carburettor is changed.
Cable pull starter
Serves to start the engine manually. Turns the crank shaft, the piston via the piston rod and thus the engine. An integrated return spring retracts the rope again.
Servo
Servo motor whose shaft turns in a limited angle in both directions and carries out a steering function mechanically via levers.
Servo lever (servo arm)
Lever, disk or cross with 4 control levers which transmit the rotational movement of the servo motor via steering levers.
Servo reverse
The adjuster on the remote control transmission reverses the rotation direction of the servo.
Servo saver
Cushioned additional link between steering servo and steering link. Sudden, hard knocks on the steered wheels are cushioned via this link and are not
directed straight into the servo.
Steering link
Generally consists of three flexible interconnected levers. The external, length-adjustable track rods connect the steering knuckle arm at the axle leg so that
it is rotary with the middle steering link part. This is indirectly tilted to the right / left by the steering servo lever.
Alignment
Position of the wheel level to the driving direction:
a = Toe-in – Wheels point inwards
b = Toe-out – Wheels point outward
Steering knuckle arm
Lever on the axle leg (steering lever). Moving the steering link via this lever towards the right or left causes the wheels to turn.
Bumper guard
The bumper (ramming protection) made of blow-resistible plastic ensure optimum dampening in case of a frontal collision.
Inclination
Inclination of the wheels as viewed from the front:
a = positive inclination
b = negative inclination
Fuel tank
The fuel tank with quick-action latch hs an integrated fuel filter. The tank is connected to the resonance sound absorber via a hose on the connection nipple
in the cover. During driving, the exhaust gasses create an overpressure in the tank this way. This overpressure improves the fuel feed to the carburettor.
Trim lever
To fine tune the neutral position of the servo. The trimming overlaps the deflections of the remote control lever. This allows shifting the servo neutral position
into one or the other direction.
Toe-in block
Rear support of the bottom transverse links. Depending on the hole distance, the transverse links are situated at an angle (toe-in) or parallel to the longitudinal
axis of the vehicle.
