Actuator / servo channel
The SMART SX FLEXX transmitter contains nine steering functions. Each steering
function is assigned to a fixed servo channel (= servo socket) on the radio control
receiver. Therefore, a 9-channel receiver is required in order that all the functions
of the transmitter can be used, e.g. MULTIPLEX RX-9-DR Light, RX-9-DR compact
or RX-9-DR pro.
Proportional channel
A proportional channel is used if a function in the model is to be steered in infinitely
variable mode. The function in the model then follows the stick movement in equal
measure (= proportionally).
Examples of proportional steering: dredger bucket, winch control,
turning/lifting/lowering of a cannon tower etc.
2-position switch / 3-position switch
A switch is used if a function in the model is to be permanently switched in fixed
positions. The positions are selected by tapping on the rocker switch.
In case of the 3-position switch, the SMART SX FLEXX transmitter emits an
acoustic information signal on selection of the centre position.
Example for the use of a 2-position switch:
light/warning light off/on, semi-trailer coupling on the truck on/off, 2-speed
gearbox, etc.
