up.

Drinking during operation

WARNING
To avoid contaminating the inside of the drinking system, always
connect and disconnect the drinking tube outside the danger zone.
NOTICE
When used in mining, the drinking reservoir can remain connected
to the drinking valve at all times.
 Pull the drinking valve from the cap, then remove the protective
cap from the drinking valve.
 Push the coupling of the drinking tube onto the drinking valve.
 To drink, swivel the drinking valve back a little until the mouthpiece
can be held comfortably in the mouth.
 To drink, bite gently on the mouthpiece and suck in the drinking
fluid.
 After drinking, swivel the drinking valve fully out of the cap again
until the mouthpiece no longer interferes.
 After use, disconnect the drinking tube coupling from the drinking
valve.
 Plug the protective cap onto the drinking valve before putting it
back into the cap.

Extreme operating conditions

High temperatures/alternating thermal stress
If bubbles appear in the visor, it is a sign that the visor is becoming
soft. In this case, leave the danger zone immediately, since the
Dräger FPS 7000 RP can start to leak.
The coating may dissolve in some places on visors marked PCas or
APECas. This will not restrict the functioning of the Dräger
FPS 7000 RP. It will remain usable until the end of the mission. Replace
visor after use.
Chemicals
Some substances can be absorbed by the material of the Dräger
FPS 7000 RP or may even diffuse through it. Further information can
be obtained from Dräger.
Explosion-hazard area
When operating in explosion-hazard areas, treat the Dräger
FPS 7000 RP with antistatic spray or use a water screen.
Otherwise there is a risk of explosion caused by electrostatic
discharge.
