Maintenance work
●
Check all parts for deformation and damage and replace them if
deformed or damaged.
●
Retighten the two screws on the cap (recommended torque:
0.44+0.03 ft lb/60+5 Ncm).
●
After maintenance work and/or replacement of components
confirm the leak tightness.
Replacing the speech diaphragm (Figure A3 on Page 3)
●
If fitted, remove the mouthpiece.
●
Remove the nose cup.
●
Remove the speech diaphragm using wrench R 26 817 taking
care not to damage the foil on the diaphragm.
●
Perform visual inspection of speech diaphragm and O-ring and
replace if necessary.
●
Insert O-ring, then screw in speech diaphragm.
●
Fasten the nose cup.
●
Mount the mouthpiece, if necessary.

Replacing the drinking valve
●
Remove the mouthpiece.
●
Remove the nose cup.
●
Remove the covering cap of the drinking valve and remove it
together with the frame.
●
Loosen the screws (Figure F-1 on Page 3) and remove the rotary
knob (Figure H-6 on Page 3).
●
Unhook the cap from the visor frame, then remove it from the
connection piece by pulling it away from the drinking valve.
●
Swivel the drinking valve downwards by 180
the connection piece.
●
Attach the new drinking valve to the connection piece so that it
points downwards.
●
Turn the drinking valve into the connection piece so that the safety
lug of the drinking valve grips behind the safety lug of the
connection piece.
●
Adjust the drinking valve.
●
Hook the cap into place on the button and place it on the drinking
valve, then hook it into the visor frame.
●
Pull the covering cap of the drinking valve with the frame up and
away from the drinking valve, then mount the cap.
●
Mount the rotary knob, then fasten the three screws
(recommended torque: 0.44+0.03 ft lb/60+5 Ncm).
●
Use Loctite 221 to secure the screw at the rotary knob.
●
Put the covering cap on the drinking valve.
●
Fasten the nose cup.
●
Mount the mouthpiece.
