Workpiece fall due to insufficient supporting area
Contact with the cutting tool
Parts of branches and parts of workpiece thrown

Assembly
The fretsaw must be unplugged before any servicing
and tool change.
Fitting the saw to bench
To fit the saw, a massive-wood bench is better than a
weak compressed board with vibrations and noise
significantly affecting your work.
Fixing materials necessary for assembly are not included
in the supply.
Example of materials:
4 M8 hex screws
4 Ø 8 mm flat gaskets
4 Ø 8 mm washers
8 M8 hex nuts
For assembly purposes, use the existing assembly holes
(pic. A/6+12). Do not tighten the screws too much. Keep
some clearance so that the rubber legs (pic. A/7+11) could
absorb well.
Saw blade cover fitting – pic. C-D
Now fold the saw blade cover (pic. A/2) using the
socket head screw (pic. C/a) and the nut (pic. C/b) as
shown in picture C.
Now fold the saw blade cover (pic. A/2) using the
locking screw (pic. D/1) as shown in picture D.
Saw blade change (original saw blades) – pic. G-I
Release the saw blade cover by loosening the locking
screw (pic. D/1). Now fold the saw blade cover (pic.
A/2) backwards. Pull the saw blade tension lever (pic.
G/22) up so that the saw blade (pic. H/26) is
loosened.
Loosen the socket head screw (pic. H/c) on the upper
holder of the saw blade (pic. H/25). Open the
inspection cover (pic. I/27). Loosen the socket head
screw (pic. I/d) on the bottom holder of the saw blade
(pic. I/28). Take the saw blade (pic. H/26) out using
the bench insert (pic. A/4).
Refit a new saw blade in the reverse order.
Due to universal saw blade holders (pic. H/25 and
I/28), both fretsaw blades and laminated blades can
be used.
Caution: The saw blade must always be fitted in a
way the teeth are pointed at you and down when
standing in front of the saw.
Spare Güde saw blades can be obtained under Art. No.
#55080, #55081, #55082, #55083 and # 55084
Tilting the saw bench (pic. B)
Loosen the securing screw (pic. A-B/5).
Tilt the saw bench (pic. A/3) to the left or to the right
so that the indicator (pic. B/19) shows the required
angle on the scale (pic. B/20).
Now fix the saw bench (pic. A/3) using the securing
screw (pic. A-B/5).
Caution: If precise work is required, a test cut needs
to be performed and a new angle possibly adjusted.
