Charging the battery
WARNING! Risk of injury!
Incorrect use of the battery
and charger may lead to injury.
Read and observe the safety
chapter 'Safety notes for battery
chargers' at the beginning of this
operating manual.
The battery (4) only has a small
amount of power after pre-charging,
and must be charged for about an
hour before commissioning for the
first time. When the battery is
charged for the first time, or after a
long period of storage, it only
reaches 80% of its nominal
capacity. The battery only reaches
its full performance after several
cycles of charging and recharging.
1. Place the charger plug in a
suitable socket. The green
charging light on the charger will
light up.
2. Place the battery in the
charger (21) (see fig. F). The red
charging light on the charger will
light up. The charger becomes
warm during operating, and may
hum slightly. This is normal and
does not mean there is a defect.
The charging process can last up
to an hour. The green charging
light will light up when the
charging process has finished.
3. Remove the battery from the
charger.
4. Remove the plug from the mains
socket as soon as the battery is
fully charged.
Inserting and removing the battery
– To insert the battery (4), push it
into the multi-function tool until it
clicks into position.
