5 MAINTENANCE

Maintenance is very important to keep your Grin in good
condition and to maintain its performance.
Clean the lawn mower after every use:
remove any residues by hand
clean the mowing deck with water and a brush
Carefully follow the maintenance operations as indicated in the
table at the end of this chapter.
Caution!
Wait until the engine has cooled down before performing
any kind of operation.
Caution!
Perform maintenance ALWAYS and ONLY with the engine
off and the spark plug/battery disconnected, depending on
the model.
Be careful with the blade as it is very sharp.
Do not clean using high pressure devices or
water jets!
Manually remove mowing residues exclusively
with a brush.
For maintenance operations that require the machine to be
tilted upright:
1. Place the lawn mower on a flat stable surface.
2. Put
the
height
adjustment
Move the lever as explained in chapter " 4.2 Adjusting the
mowing height".
3. Unlock the handlebar release levers (Fig.1_C).
4. Fold the handlebar completely down to rest onto the lawn
mower (Fig.8.1)
5. Tilt the lawnmower upwards onto its rear wheels (Fig.8.2)
Note:
Models with combustion engine that are NOT
equipped with a Mow'N'Stow engine (see technical data
sheet) can be tilted upright for the shortest time possible.
Always check the petrol level before lifting the lawn mower.
For these models, the tank must not be completely full
when the lawn mower is tilted to prevent any petrol leaks.
When the maintenance has been completed, wait for a few
minutes before starting the machine.
Models equipped with a Mow'N'Stow engine, battery-
powered ones and electrical ones can be tilted upright for
long periods without a problem.
Caution!
For safety reasons it is strictly forbidden to modificate and/or
temporarily repair and/or tune-up your GRIN. Worn or damaged
parts must be replaced immediately. ONLY use original spare
parts.
Note:
For more details on maintenance work on the
engine or battery, see the specific user manual provided
with the machine.
