4.1 Preparation before mowing

4.1.1 HM/PM/SPM models

Note:
Your Grin is delivered without oil nor petrol.
Filling with engine oil
To correctly check the level of engine oil, place the lawn mower
on a flat stable surface. On slopes up to 3%, any deviations fall
within
the
Completely replace the oil after 25 hours of operation to avoid
damaging the engine.
Only use oil as specified by the engine's manufacturer.
1. Unscrew the cap (Fig.1_L) and remove from the oil tank
(Fig.1_K).
2. Pour 450 ml of engine oil into the tank with a funnel.
3. Wipe the oil off the dipstick (Fig.1_L) and screw the cap
back onto the tank.
4. Unscrew the cap again and check the oil level on the
dipstick. The level must be close to MAX (Fig.1_M). A
correct oil level should always be between MAX (Fig.1_M)
and MIN (Fig.1_N).
5. Firmly screw the cap back on the tank.
Environmental protection!
Do not dispose of oil in the environment. Dispose
of
any
residues
environmental provisions, rules and regulations.
Refuelling
Caution!
Fuel is highly flammable and its vapours are explosive. Only
refuel outdoors. Do not use open flames within a minimum
radius of 5 m. Do not smoke. Do not refuel with the engine
running or still hot.
1. Place the lawn mower on a flat stable surface.
2. Unscrew the petrol tank cap (Fig. 1_O), but only after
removing any dirt or residues from its vicinity.
3. Fill the tank with normal green petrol, using a funnel, up to
the level prescribed by the engine's manufacturer. Leave
some air for fuel expansion. Remove any leaked or spilled
petrol immediately; never mix oil with fuel.
4. Firmly screw the cap back on the tank.
Environmental protection!
Do not dispose of petrol in the environment.
Dispose of any residues in compliance with the
environmental provisions, rules and regulations.

4.1.2 BM46-36V model

Connecting the battery
1. Take the battery out of its packaging and press the On/Off
button to switch it on to check its charging status. The LCD
display will light up, prompting both the charging percentage
and the rated voltage of the battery. (It is advisable to fully
recharge the battery before using it for the first 2-3 uses).
2. Slide the battery completely down onto the mount on the
lawn mower (Fig.1_V) (Fig.3). This way the battery is firmly
afixed and centred on the lawn mower.
